All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding. They are created as TEMPLATES for online interactive resources. So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH.

I have called them TEACHER TOOLS as I think they are the types of activities which maybe useful to have at hand. They are created as TEMPLATES so if you download the source code you can change the content yourself. Earth Planets Solar System [animated facts]

It is an activity based around facts about the Earth and the Solar System. The concept is simple in that the facts are presented in an animated way with the important words highlighted and which feature in other activities on the same topic. If the concept works let me know and I will add other TEMPLATES I have created. The actual activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2020/06/l-animated-facts-earth-sun-planets.html The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. I have sorted them into LEARNING, PRACTISING and TESTING activities and will add activities for each grouping if the concept works. Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. learnanytime@gmail.com

It is an activity based around a series of pictures and text which “drop down” on a click. This means that learners are in control of the pace at which they learn. Obviously, any text and pictures could be inserted. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding. Earth orbit axis rotation tilt [information over pictures and comprehension quiz]

This is an adaptation of a couple of previous activities combined. I had been asked if I could make some of the pictures larger [almost in a slide format] still keeping the “notes” visible but smaller. The quiz element just added another dimension to test learners’ understanding of the topic. Again this is a template and so could be any topic, any pictures and any notes. TYPEWRITER SCRIPT is an incredible piece of coding into which you can copy and paste any text. Notes, stories, instructions etc. Here I have combined it with the QUIZ coding I have used before to create a simple comprehension activity on the frog life cycle. Using the “calculator” coding a grid of pictures with text behind allows a simple “sorting” activity connecting pictures and text from a particular life cycle, in this case the frog. All of the pictures and all of the text can be replaced with your own content. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog.
